Toasty Labs designed the brand and the full product experience for iAllo, an AI calling assistant that makes phone calls on your behalf — navigating phone trees, gathering information, completing tasks, and reporting back. We delivered brand identity, product strategy, and UX/UI design across a web app, iOS and Android apps, and a Chrome extension.
The problem: phone calls are still a time sink
Phone calls remain one of the least respectful uses of a person’s time. You wait on hold, navigate a menu tree, repeat the same information to a third person, and often end the call without the thing you needed.
iAllo’s founding idea was to remove the person from the waiting rather than the call from the process. Over the engagement that vision grew: not a dialler with shortcuts, but a digital twin that acts on your behalf and reports what happened.

Designing for delegation, not automation
We started from one question: what if you had a twin who could handle your calls?
Delegation is a trust problem before it is an interface problem. A user handing off a call needs to state what they want, watch it happen, and believe the result — so we designed for all three stages rather than only the moment of handoff:
- Pre-call intent setting, so the assistant knows what a good outcome is
- Progress the user can see, so delegation never feels like a black box
- Post-call summaries, so the result is legible without a recording
An interface that reads as human
An AI product that feels clever but not dependable does not get a second use. The conversational UI we built balances automation with restraint: enough control to feel in charge, not so much that the user is doing the work themselves. The brand carries the same idea — trust, warmth, and quiet intelligence rather than the hard sci-fi register the category defaults to.
The design system spans four platforms, so the product feels like one thing whether it’s opened in a browser tab, a Chrome extension, or a phone.
The result
A first-of-its-kind digital calling assistant, live on web, iOS, Android, and Chrome, used across healthcare, logistics, law, and finance.
